TaleHill (Masal Tepesi in Turkey) is an app where parents create personal bedtime stories for their children. This page explains what information we use and why. If you have questions, write to us at contact@talehill.com.
Who uses the app
TaleHill is for parents. An adult opens and manages the account. We do not expect children to create accounts on their own.
Information we collect
- Account details: your email address and password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, the email address and name those services share with us.
- Heroes and characters: a hero's name, age, gender and free-text description, plus supporting characters. Every field is optional. Heroes can be imaginary; you never have to enter your child's real details.
- Stories: the story requests you write, the generated story text, narration audio and cover pictures.
- Family details: the email addresses of people you invite to your family.
- Device preferences: settings such as language, theme and sleep sounds are kept on your device.
We never ask you to upload photos. We use the microphone only when you start voice input yourself.
How we use it
- To create your account and let you sign in.
- To write and narrate the stories you ask for and keep them in your library.
- To let family members share stories and heroes.
- To keep the service safe and prevent misuse.
We do not show ads, we do not sell your information, and we do not use advertising trackers.
Who we share it with
We work with the service providers below to run TaleHill. Each one handles information only for its own task:
- Supabase: accounts, database and file storage.
- Anthropic: writing the story text. Your story request and the hero and character details you chose are sent for this.
- ElevenLabs: narrating the story. Only the story text is sent.
- Vercel: hosting the website and the app.
Some of these providers are located outside Turkey and the European Union, for example in the United States. We may share information with authorities when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete a story or a hero, its information is deleted too. When you delete your account, the information linked to it is deleted; removal from backups can take a little longer.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, UK GDPR and Turkish KVKK you can access, correct and delete your information and object to its use. To use these rights or have your account deleted, write to contact@talehill.com.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page. We will also announce important changes in the app or by email.
